Fabric Magnet Board

My kids love magnet boards in their room, the only problem is they don't match. So I came up with an idea that makes us all happy, fabric covered magnet boards.

They are so easy to make, all you need is your metal and some fabric that will match, some coordinating ribbon and your hot glue gun.

First you need to cut your fabric to be slightly bigger than your metal.

Then just start hot gluing your fabric onto your metal. Make sure you pull the fabric tight so that there aren't any wrinkles on the front of your board.

Once you have the fabric totally glued, then take your drill and put two holes in the top of the board for your ribbon. Then you are done!!

Watermelon on a stick

I'm back! My sister in laws birthday is today and I've been working on a cute little gift for her.

First thing I did was take some muslin and cut out a watermelon shape.

Then I sewed it together leaving a small opening so I could stuff it with batting.

Next, I turned the watermelon right sides out and stuffed it with the batting, then I started painting the whole thing red.

After the red was dry I painted the green and then did the black seeds.

While the watermelon was drying, I painted some old finial block thing I had, and I found a dowel in the garage and painted that too. Then I glued the dowel into the hold that was on top of the finial block.

When everything was dry, I took the watermelon and cut a little hole in the bottom and then glued it on top of the dowel. To finish it off, I tied ribbon around the dowel. Happy Birthday Jessie!

Darling Lime Green Cupboard

I know it has seemed like forever since my last post! The boutique was a huge success, so thank you to everyone that supported me!! I've been busy finishing up the school year, (I am the PTA president) and it has been crazy busy!! But, I am back.
I've had quite a few people email me, and facebook me and even call me and ask to see what I have leftover from the boutique. So, I decided to post one item each day and see if anyone wants to purchase them. If you do, email me and I will save it for you. I will be clearancing out some of the items, because I just got another huge load of stuff that I need to start working on. So I need to make some room!

First item is this darling lime green cupboard! It would be so cute in a kitchen, or a childs room, or a play room, or in a foyer, or, or, or. The possibilities are endless.
$45 for this item.

What's going on in the barn?

I've been working so hard getting things done for the boutique on Friday, I wanted to give everyone a sneak peak of some of the things you will find...

This isn't everything! You will have to come to the boutique to see the rest! And by the way, a lady ordered a doll house from my husband, then she backed out after he had already built it-so now that will be for sale as well! It is dirt cheap!! Come check it out!!
