I didn't love my table runner, could be that my kids have gotten stains all over it, or it could be that my husband and his first wife got it as a wedding gift. Either way, it had to go.
So I purchased 3 yards of burlap and 3 yards of muslin. Both are super cheap. I measured both and cut them to be 9 feet long by 20 inches wide.
Then I folded in the hem all the way around both fabrics about 1/2" and pinned.
Once it was all pinned, I did a zigzag stitch.
After it was all sewed, I cut some vinyl that said feed (so it would look like the old bags that used to hold animal feed) and stuck it on the burlap, I just painted the inside.
Let dry completely, then...Voila!!
WOWEE! That is way cool!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like how this is a more rustic, textured runner than you could buy in the store. Great idea!
